Amy Winehouse is back on track, ready to hit the stage after two years.
She has been booked to sing in Russia next month before a jaunt to Brazil in January for a six-day tour - pocketing around 300,000 dollars, reports The Sun.
Winehouse got rave reviews for her two intimate performances last month. Her vocals were spot on and she was focused as she launched her Fred Perry range in east London.
I admit I never realized Amy Winehouse was actually pretty. The exaggerated and smeared black eyeliner and questionable personal hygiene used to cover what is apparently really nice features. With performances by Beyonce and Tina Turner, Rihanna, Kanye's emotional tribute to his "mama," and Amy Winehouse's much-anticipated (via-satellite) performance, (not to mention her shout-out to incarcerated hubby Blake) the Grammys were definitely something to tune into last night.
Although not present in L.A., but rather in her hometown of London, Winehouse almost had a clean sweep, winning five out of the six awards she was nominated for, including record of the year, song of the year, and best new artist.
Kanye dominated the Grammys as well, winning four awards, including best rap album and best rap solo performance. Not only did he pay tribute to his late mother Donda in song, but also spoke to her in his acceptance speech.
Carrie Underwood went home with two awards, best female vocal performance and best country song for "Before He Cheats" and Alicia Keys, who opened the show singing with a virtual Frank Sinatra, took home the prize for best R&B song for "No One" as well as best female R&B vocal performance.
The last award of the night was given to the very surprised jazz artist Herbie Hancock for album of the year, beating out both Winehouse and West.

Between Lindsay Lohan appearing on the cover of the September issue of Elle magazine and talking about her successful rehab and how she'd never drive drunk, and this news story about Amy Winehouse making the cover of Vogue at the personal request of Anna Wintour, I'm getting more and more cranky.
I'm not taking beauty and style tips from a 21 year old who tops every list of celebs most likely to die before they turn 30. Or from someone who seems to belong to the Kirsten Dunst school of personal grooming.
