Last night, Rihanna was photographed leaving The Staples Center where she watched an NBA game between the LA Clippers and The Miami Heat. I am loving her new straighter hair. This girl can rock any look – they all work!

Rihanna – who recently reconciled with her father – has something to smile about today. She’s been nominated for two NAACP awards:

• Outstanding Female Artist
• Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration (w/ Eminem, Love The Way You Lie)

Reb'l Fleur: Rihanna to Release Signature Scent

Reb'l Fleur, the first fragrance to bear the name and likeness of pop superstar Rihanna, will be available to the smelly public at large January 25.

RiRi's perfume, which came about thanks to a deal brokered by manager Jay-Z, is curiously described as "like heels with a short, flirty dress."

It's a fruity mix of red berries, plum, peach, coconut water, violet and Hawaiian hibiscus, in reflection of Rihanna's tropical roots. Obviously.

Next up for Rihanna? A line of hair products. We wish.

 Reb'l Fleur: Rihanna to Release Signature Scent

As for its fun name, the scent shares it with a tattoo the pop star bears on her neck, although which came first is still up for debate at this time.

Whatever it means, Reb'l Fleur will first available at Macys for $49 a pop.

For her next scent, we suggest "Only Girl in the World" or "Hard" as good names. They get the point across, and have built-in theme songs:

Rihanna is Single again

Rihanna already considers herself as single, says a report, after a rumoured split with baseball player Matt Kemp.

Tongues are wagging that the couple have called it a day after dating for more than a year, and according to People, the Only Girl (In The World) singer, is ready to get back into the singles game.

A source told the magazine: 'She never has a problem finding guys. And she flirts with lots.'

Reps for Rihanna and Kemp have not commented on the split.

Chris Brown and Rihanaa

Chris Brown and Rihanna showed a practically united front over the weekend when they took to their Twitters to tell their fans to move on from their 2009 assault incident.

The conversation on the 2009 assault between Chris and his girlfriend at the time, Rihanna, started when one of her fans asked her to avoid speaking about the incident, MTV News reports.

“AGREED!” Rihanna Tweeted in reply. “People won’t stop asking about it! It’s f—in’ annoying! Nobody wants to relive that, but some ppl can’t respect that!”

“I get it,” she added. “They wanna raise awareness to young girls! But it ends up just making me look bitter, pitiful, spiteful and angry!”

Chris was sentenced to 180 days of community labor (he’s now completed), put on probation, and he and Rihanna have been ordered to stay away from each other.

And it sounds like both Rihanna and Chris would like their fans to move on from the incident just like they have.

Chris took to his Twitter and told both “Team Breezy” and “Rihanna Navy” to move on.

“Y’all starting to sound extremely childish! #teambreezy and #rihannanavy It’s pointless,” Chris Tweeted. “Love team breezy & thank you rihannanavy for supporting ya girl.”

Three AMA Hair Moments

The AMAs were full of glitz, sheer lace and that Bieber kid. Not very interesting, except for these three looks. Jessica Alba is simply stunning. I can't say I've ever seen her act or do anything interesting, but she's so easy on the eyes I'd be happy to see more. While there were many loose waves on the red carpet (are we going into the era of "the Middleton"?), Jessica is classy and classic.

I didn't recognize Taylor Swift at first. Taylor seems to have replaced the curling iron with a flat one. She looks more mature and incredibly beautiful.

Rihanna is wearing a wig, of course, but I really like this one. Retro, different and fun- and worlds better than the other wigs she's been sporting lately. I preferred the other Elie Saab Couture gown she wore that night, in sea-foam green, but this one was quite interesting on her, too.

Eminem with Rihanna

"Love the Way You Lie" is about as close as Eminem has ever gotten to a love song in his career, and ironically, it's actually a song about an abusive relationship.

The Alex Da Kid-produced track, featuring Rihanna on the chorus, is among the standout tracks on Recovery, which leaked on Monday, two weeks before its June 22 release.

Though the Detroit MC never mentions his former flame, Kim Mathers, by name, the ode appears to address their tumultuous relationship.

"Wait, where you going? I'm leaving you," Eminem raps on the opening verse. "No, you ain't, come back/ We running right back/ Here we go again/ It's insane, 'cause when it's going good, it's going great/ I'm Superman, with the wind to his back/ She's Lois Lane/ But when it's bad, it's awful/ I feel so ashamed/ I snap, 'Who's that dude? I don't even know his name'/ I laid hands on her/ I'll never stoop so low again/ I guess I don't know my own strength."

Rihanna croons over guitar licks and piano stabs, balancing out the emotionally charged verses.

"Just gonna stand there and watch me burn/ Well, that's all right because I like the way it hurts," she sings. "Just gonna stand there and hear me cry/ Well, that's all right because I love the way you lie."

Throughout the song, Eminem's voice builds and becomes flush with a mix of fondness and angered regret from his failed relationship.

He describes their union as a "tornado meets a volcano."

In the next verse, Eminem ranges from apologetic to accepting the end.

"Yesterday is over, it's a different day," he raps. "Sounds like broken records playing over/ But you promised her, next time you'll show restraint/ You don't get another chance, life is no Nintendo game/ But you lied, now you get to watch her leave out the window/ I guess that's why they call it window pane."

In an interview overseas recently, Eminem explained his decision to include Rihanna on the album after he had already recorded the track.

"As far as the songs with Pink and Rihanna ... when I did the song that I did with Pink, I laid my parts first and kind of heard her on the record and felt that she would smash this record," Em told Skyrock Radio in Paris. "And the other one I did with Rihanna is one of those tracks that I felt like only she could pull it off, only she could do it."

Three Things That Made My Weekend

1. Just looking at Dita Von Teese. This photo is from a Milan Fashion Week event, where Dita launched he new lingerie line. Personally, I'm not sure I'm into celebrity unmentionables, but then again, I do like Elle Macpherson's stuff, so I might have to give this a chance. In any case, nobody wears a red lipstick like Dita.



2. Rihanna and what looks suspiciously like a Franciscan monk. I can't stand her hair, but at least she cleaned up nicely after last week's airport style fiasco. Rihanna was in Venice this weekend for her manager's wedding, where apparently the locals don't care that the fashion police has been after her lately. Bonus picture: rocking the purple lipstick.




3. My favorite Mad Men lovelies January Jones and Elisabeth Moss. We're seeing them around more and more, and it delights my nerdy fan soul. January Jones attended Variety’s 1st Annual ‘Power of Women’ Luncheon with the likes of Anne Hathaway and Christina Applegate. Elisabeth Moss was featured on the cover of Venice magazine. Talent is a beautiful thing.

Bonus guilty pleasure item: The next Real Housewives show will be The Gay Housewives of NYC. This can't be anything but pure fun to watch. Definitely more interesting than the other reported new reality show about Tinsley Mortimer's life (and divorce). Not that there's any force in the universe that would prevent me from DVRing this crap to watch while working out. For motivation, you see.

I was willing to give Rihanna the benefit of the doubt and make allowance for her age, too much time spent in airports and a funky personality. But this is not even a case of fashion crisis. I think it's a taste problem, and that's very very hard to fix.

A Fashion Moment With Rihanna And Friends

A note to highly impressionable teenagers everywhere: Don't try this at home. Seriously, I'm still embarrassed about an 1985 incident that included a pair of very similar Madonna-inspired gloves and a math teacher who would never be the same. But I'm referring more to the jumpsuit, which Rihanna is probably the only person in the universe who can pull it off. On 99% of us it would be ridiculously unflattering.

What I do like here is the pearls (we all have a perverted inner Jackie O., right?) and the super glam makeup. Flawless skin, black eyeliner and red lipstick- all beautiful and as red carpet worthy as it gets. The nails, however, are atrocious (click the second photo to see what I mean).



As a bonus, for all of us Party of Five nerds, here's Neve Campbell at the same event, (the London premier of Inglorious Bastards) looking as sane and adorable as if it's still 1995.

Seen Around Town- Items Of The Moment

Here are bits and pieces, looks and ideas as seen on celebs in the last week or so. Which ones do you like? What doesn't work for you?


White denim. I love it, even if not necessarily the way Kate Moss wears it. I like to pair slim white jeans with a colorful DVF wrap top and cute sandals. I think Hilary Swank pulls it off perfectly.




Red lipstick. The tricky part is choosing the right red for you. Do you think Angelina and Rihanna got it right?


Little dresses in bright colors. Nothing says "summer" like a yellow dress.

I like strappy sandals, I like platforms. Not so sure about these bondage gear, especially the way Beyonce paired it with awful denim shorts, and Rumer Willis' black manicure is just a bit too much. The last pair was seen on Evangeline Lilly in Cannes. A little different and not half bad.

V is for Fashion Victim

Rihanna, obviously searching for the Final Frontier, at the 3rd Annual DKMS gala. The outfit probably makes sense in Posh Beckham's world, I'm just not sure why a pretty young thing who gets a lot of attention just by showing up needs to dress this way. I'm not even saying a word about the nail polish. The boots are interesting, though.

What Is Chris Brown Facing?

Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies: assault and making criminal threats in the alleged beating of Rihanna in February.

Brown could face up to four years and eight months in jail if convicted. The R&B singer is expected enter a plea today. Despite the upcoming proceeding, rumors are swirling that Rihanna and Brown have reconciled.

Rihanna to Rock Out at Charity Inaugural Ball

On January 20th the songstress will headline the Recording Industry Association of America's charity ball benefiting Feeding America. She'll be joining the likes of Will Smith who says he will also be in D.C. for the Inauguration. ""We'll go there and just cry - probably two, three days in a row. Just lots of crying. We'll probably cheer a lot, too," he told reporters at the L.A. premiere of Seven Pounds.

The Night Of The Golden Popcorn

Last night at Universal City, the MTV Movie Awards were a happenin'. As celebs graced the gold carpet, it was really all about those who took home the golden bucket of popcorn. Funnyman Mike Myers hosted the soiree while big winners included Johnny Depp, who took home awards for both Pirates and Sweeney Todd, Juno's Ellen Page for Best Female Performance, Hairspray's Link Larkin (Zac Efron) for Breakout Star, Will Smith for Best Male Performance in I am Legend, Iron Man for Best Summer Movie So Far and Transformers for the Best Movie. With hot performances from Coldplay and the Pussycat Dolls, the stars came out for a much-talked about awards show.

SJP channeled her inner Carrie Bradshaw with an amazing dress, jewels, ankle-high boots and Stanford, Lindsay Lohan made a glamorous appearance in purple, (she even had a Marilyn moment on the carpet!) Rihanna and "good friend" Chris Brown (after his dance off with Myers) sat very close to each other throughout the whole show, The Hills are apparently still alive, the Best Kiss awardees Briana Evigan and Robert Hoffman definitely proved that they deserved the prize, Adam Sandler sang his own tribute after earning the Generation Award and Megan Fox gave the best plug for the sequel to Transformers. Overall, a very entertaining evening!
