Wow! Ashlee Simpson lost a TON of weight. She almost looks like she went too far with the diet. Here she is heading into a hair salon to meet up with friend Nicole Richie. We all know that Nicole Richie is getting married in a few days, so it makes sense that she is primping and pampering with her ladies.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz will talk about lots of things—like her sister's new boyfriend, Eric Johnson.

"He's just really easygoing," she told me at the Decades Denim launch party last night in L.A., adding that she and Jessica sometimes double date with their men.

She also dished how her cropped, blonde do is much easier to manage as a mom to Bronx, but she wouldn't divulge...

Ashlee Simpson No More (And Def. Expecting!)

Due to her recent marriage to rocker Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson has made a very traditional change in her life. She is now Ashlee Wentz! Professionally though, she'll go by Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. She says, "I think that that's something that a woman should do when they're marring a man. It's a tradition that I think is a great tradition."

Oh and a little fyi, just a few moments ago, I saw the confirmation that everyone has been waiting for. The Wentzes are preggers!

"While many have speculated this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family." - Mr. and Mrs. Pete Wentz.

Couples Alert

Pete and Ashlee to marry this weekend! Both celebrated bachelor slash bachelorette parties last night. Pete, accompanied by Joe Simpson, his bandmates and Joel Madden, began at LA's Mr. Chow, followed by a party in the Marilyn Monroe suite at Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. As for Ashlee, she spent the evening at the luxury lingerie store Kiki De Montparnasse.

Since California's Supreme Court turned down the law banning gay marriage, Ellen DeGeneres announced yesterday that she and girlfriend Portia de Rossi are engaged. Congrats!

Are they or aren't they? Earlier reports stated that Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson are dunzo! But wait, Jessica (Ashlee's maid of honor) will be bringing Tony as her date to her sister's nuptials this weekend. Hmmm.

Maybe it's just me, but the first image I conjure when thinking Chanel, is not Ashlee Simpson's. I also have a problem with such logo display. I may be a Jersey girl, but personally I find it crossing the tacky lines. What do you think?

...And Gonna Have A Baby, Maybe?

It's yet to be confirmed, but it seems that newly-engaged couple Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz may have a bun in the oven.

According to US Weekly, a source close to the couple has verified that the two are expecting their first child.

She does seem to be covering her stomach area with the black clutch...hmmmm

They're Going To The Chapel And They're Gonna Get Married...

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are engaged!

And yes, it's for real this time.

The couple, first outed when they were seen kissing in a NY nightclub, have been together since the fall 2006.  

Simpson made the news official with this post on friendsorenemies.com Wednesday:

"We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I, and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, and we wanted to be the first to tell you and to hear it straight from us." 

I love them together!

I get that Rihanna is a young, beautiful pop star. This status definitely allows for some questionable fashion choices. The goddess of teenage girls remembers Madonna circa 1984 and the millions of fans who ran out to but fingerless lace gloves and tied ratty ribbons in their hair (for the record, I never had a buckle that said "Boy Toy", just so you know).


Now, I like the combination of a sweet but sexy corset and those punk cuffs. I can also deal with Rihanna's shoes and with the concept of wearing tons of makeup (I would never tell Chrissie Hynde to go easy on the eyeliner). But that lipstick color is just way too much and would look tacky on anyone outside of the pop star context, especially when worn with that nail color.


Speaking of tacky, Ashlee Simpson, who otherwise looks very pretty here has ruined the whole thing with these sandals. I love colorful shoes and orange is one of my favorite colors, but this pair just looks cheap to me. Interestingly enough, Cameron Diaz wore the same footwear, only in white, to the same event, 20th Annual Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards last Friday, where she was photographed all shiny-faced.

Ashlee Simpson premiered her new song, a duet with Plain White T’s frontman Tom Higgenson, on Chicago’s KISS FM DreX Morning Show on Thursday. “Little Miss Obsessive” shows the true tones of Ashlee’s voice along with harmonizing melodies with Higgenson in the chrous. 

And yes, in case you were wondering, I am obsessed.

Ashlee wants you to know she loves herself

Ashlee Simpson really wants us all to believe she's happy with the way she looks. On the heels of an interview in Harper's Bazaar where she said she "loved how I looked" before her nose job last year, Simpson tells Cosmopolitan mag, "I feel very confident with the way I look. But I felt just as confident the way I looked before. I've always been confident with who I am." And of her now-public relationship with Fall Out Boy singer Pete Wentz, Simpson says, "It's really hard for me to like Hollywood-type guys. I like guys who are relaxed and chill and who think I'm sexy no matter what I do. And I like guys who are into surfing. They're cute and seem more laid-back, and I'm a pretty laid-back person."

Pete Wentz opens "loser" bar in NYC

Fall Out Boy singer Pete Wentz celebrated the opening of his NYC bar last night with girlfriend Ashlee Simpson. Wentz and a few friends decided to open Angels & Kings in the East Village so they will have a place where "all our loser friends can hang out." Wentz says he is tired of the pretentious club scene and wanted to have somewhere more relaxed to go to. "It's different when you want to bring your friends to a place...and maybe we're just not cool enough to get in. We really just want someplace where we can hang out and be ourselves... I'm just gonna be local and drink umbrella drinks. It will be a bit of a dive, which we need," Wentz told pagesix.com. One of his co-owners added, "[It's] a place that anyone can go and have sex in the bathroom and not get in trouble."

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were all over each other on Friday night. The on-again, off-again pair shared a table at Mastro's restaurant with Adam Brody, who Simpson is rumored to have shared a fling with, and former *NSYNCer JC Chasez. "They were really amping it up to get to Adam, who was cordial but clearly annoyed," said a source. "He was trying to be nice and chat but then couldn't take it anymore. He eventually left in disgust with JC. It clearly got to him. Ashlee and Pete continued making out and causing a scene at the table for the rest of the meal."
