Rendezvous on the Red Carpet

We'd like to thank the academy.. .for inspiring us to write this post.  While we couldn't do live blogging during the event, we can't simply let the Academy Awards pass us by without a comment (or seven) on the fabulous apparel that adorned the red carpet. It was easy to spot the trends this year, from the color red, to loose wavy hair, to shimmering dresses, etc. etc.  Walking the red carpet with all eyes on you can be stressful, but some of these celebs make it look effortless. Here's a look at some of our Oscar night favorite's:

Swan Queen and "Best Actress" winner Natalie Portman looks super pregnant and super stunning in this elegant, plum colored dress by Rodarte.  We might consider leaving those tassel earrings at home though. (Photo Credit: Jason Merritt/Getty)

Saying that Michelle Williams looks amazing is an understatement.  Her figure alone deserves an award but the elegant Chanel dress and perfectly polished hair show she's come a long way since Dawson's Creek. (Photo Credit: Frazer Harrison/Getty)

And, finally, Amy Adams looked beautiful in a navy sequined dress by L'Wren Scott. Although she sparkles like a jewel we do think the necklace was a little much and she could have looked even more elegant had she gone without it. The trick has apparently worked for Macaulay Culkin, who recently ended an eight-year relationship with Mila Kunis - and has seemingly started a new one with Spanish porn star Irene Lopez!

The two were spotted this week exiting a live sex club in Barcelona.

"The last time I was with him, no one found out about it," Lopez told E! News, perhaps outing the acting as a cheater. "I don't know what happened this time that the newspaper heard about it."

What, exactly, went on at the sex show in Spain? Lopez would only say: "I don't want to cause him any harm. He's a good person."

Sounds to us like someone won't be home alone tonight! (Sorry.)

With ‘Black Swan‘ doing as well as it has, Mila Kunis has a busy awards season up ahead! Yet Mila Kunis refuses to get caught up in all the hype/drama/hoopla of the awards shows, despite being nominated herself.

“They’re just awards. It’s not the end of the world. People need to relax,” the actress told PEOPLE with a laugh at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in Hollywood on Friday.

Mila Kunis even refuses to stress about the red carpet.

“I don’t plan, which is maybe my problem in life,” said Kunis in a short and strapless black Nina Ricci dress. “I play it by ear.”

And why is she so relaxed about all of this?

“I’m not good with big groups of people – I’m just not,” she said. “I love what I do. But when you put me in environments such as this, I just want to go home and put my sweat pants on.”

Well, I still bet she’s busy getting ready for the Golden Globes tonight

If I was a nominated actress, I’d be somewhere between trying to enjoy every minute and hyperventilating! LOL

For February’s Cosmopolitan magazine, they are celebrating “Fun Fearless Female” – Mila Kunis and “Fun Fearless Male” – Russell Brand.

They each sat down for an interview, with Mila sharing who is the best kisser among her recent co-stars:

“Justin’s upper lip…Natalie’s bottom lip…Ashton’s stubble…James’ chin…and Jason’s teeth.”

Russell shared this little snippet about wife Katy Perry:

“Well, she threw a bottle at my head when we first met, and she’s been doing that in some form or another ever since.”

I think these two are perfect choices for “fun and fearless”! Their full interviews are in the issue, which hits the stands tomorrow.

Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin have called it quits. The actress’ rep released the following statement to the NY Post:

“The split was amicable, and they remain close friends,”

Apparently, the pair broke up a long time ago but kept it quit so Mila Kunis to promote her ‘Black Swan’ Golden Globe nomination without the drama. These two have been quietly together for a really long time – since 2002. It’s sad to hear that things didn’t work out.

‘Black Swan’ star Mila Kunis hosted an event last night in celebration of her NYLON magazine cover. The event, which was a private dinner held at Cleo at the Redbury Hotel in Hollywood, was attended by a slew of young Hollywood actors.


Guests in attendance, which included Joe Jonas, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Trevor Donovan, Jessica Lowndes, Gillian Zinser, Ryan Eggold, Matt Lanter, Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland, HellCat’s Heather Hemmens, Pretty Little Liar’s Ashley Benson, Scream 4′s Nico Tortorella, actors Grey Damon, Sara Paxton, and Ben Hollingsworth, were all the first to receive Armani Exchange’s new watches from their Holiday collection. Dinner AND gifts? Nice.

Mila looks amazing, as always! Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland looks terrific, too. Well, all of the guests do. Who do you think knocked it out of the park?

Mila Kunis Makes A Makeup Mistake

Or, most likely, her makeup artist did.

There's no doubt that Mila Kunis is gorgeous and her eyes are among the most beautiful in showbiz. But when you pile on the paint (concealer, highlighter, eyeliner and who knows what else) under the bottom lashes it gets into every nook and cranny in the delicate under-eye area. The makeup creases there giving you lines you never knew you had. Not a good look and something to remember especially when you're going to have your photo taken throughout the night (which is exactly when one is tempted to use the entire beauty arsenal).
